Tantrums and Tears: Understanding Frustration and the Importance of Tears
Date Mar 26, 2022 | Time 10:00am - 12:00pm
Tantrums can include various aggressive behaviours including hitting, biting, irritability, impatience, self-harming, acting mean or rude. These actions are deeply rooted in instinct and emotion and are often resistant to conventional discipline practices. To support children to grow through their tantrums, we need to understand what’s going on for them from the inside out and most importantly, we need to value the role of tears. Principles applicable to children of all ages.
